Jungle Flower – elegant single-origin coffee from Peru
A soft, creamy kick, a floral elegance with a delicate hint of jasmine, and a mild, rounded finish that fades without any edge: Jungle Flower is our washed single origin from Peru – elegant, creamy, and mild, crafted for calm, beautiful moments in a cup.
We roast it in our Swiss coffee roastery to a medium level – balanced enough to keep its creamy softness and floral elegance with a hint of jasmine, without anything being overwhelmed.

The people behind Jungle Flower
Jungle Flower comes from the Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Laguna de Los Cóndores in the province of Luya, in the highlands of the Amazonas region in northern Peru. Founded in 2017 by twelve coffee producers in the Providencia district, today the cooperative is a community of around 800 coffee-growing families – including 243 women – who work in direct trade with roasters in Europe and the USA.
The farms lie at elevations of 1200 to 2200 meters. At this height, cherries ripen more slowly and densely – the basis for the round sweetness and the elegant clarity you find in the cup. Traditional varieties such as Typica, Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, and Villa Sarchi are grown, with cup scores between 82 and 86 SCA points. Drinking Jungle Flower makes you a part of this community to some extent – that is the beauty of coffee with origin.
Why it tastes so soft and elegant
Jungle Flower is washed processed. In this method, the fruit flesh is removed before drying, so the pure, clear side of the bean comes to the foreground – the reason for the elegant, tidy cup without heavy notes.
The temperature also influences which aromas unfold: slightly hotter makes the body fuller and rounder, slightly cooler brings the floral elegance and the delicate jasmine more clearly to the fore. So you hold the soft elegance in your hands, all without pressure.

How Jungle Flower tastes in the cup
As an espresso, it is soft, creamy, and mild, with a rounded, elegant finish. We extract using a 1:2 ratio as a starting point – about 18 g of coffee to 36 g of espresso. In filter or pour-over it becomes clearer and lighter, and the floral elegance with its jasmine hint comes through most delicately.
There is no right or wrong here – the coffee has to taste good to you, that is all that matters. And because bean, humidity, and you yourself change daily, no cup exactly matches the last. That is not a limitation, that is the beauty of it.
Who Jungle Flower is made for
For everyone who likes it soft, mild, and elegant – a coffee that does not have to be loud to be appreciated. Its creamy character makes it a calm companion for every day, whether as an espresso, in filter, or pour-over. And for all who love elegance, beneath the mild softness lies a fine floral note with a hint of jasmine. You need no prior experience – just a desire for a beautiful cup.
What you need for it
To let the delicate elegance in the cup come through, a consistent grind size helps. In our coffee grinders you’ll find affordable and precise options like the Varia VS3, while the Varia VS6 offers more flexibility; hand grind finely and calmly with the Comandante hand grinders. Unsure what suits you? Our advice tool helps.
Because Jungle Flower blossoms particularly nicely in filter and pour-over, Brewer units from the Hario Collection or the AeroPress – both affordable and versatile; if you want more, you’ll find the BIRD in our Weber Workshops assortment. To balance the ratio, a scale helps: compact from the Normcore Collection, with app and flow display from the Acaia Collection.

Before drying, the fruit flesh of the coffee cherry is removed. This yields a clear, elegant cup – exactly the tidy softness that defines Jungle Flower.

The roast profile for this bean was developed by Yalcin, a certified food chemist with over 15 years of experience in the international flavor industry, most recently as Senior Taste Designer at Philip Morris International. Learn more about his background in our roastery.
From the roastery: Jungle Flower is our elegant, quiet variety – creamy, mild, and floral, for days when it may be soft and unpretentious. For espresso we start at 1:2; in pour-over the floral elegance with its jasmine hint comes out most clearly. If you prefer something stronger and more chocolatey, Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight from our coffee beans are well suited. That is our recommendation, one of many.
