Each year, many people are found to be deficient in vitamin D. Seniors often suffer from this deficiency. Indeed, after a certain age, it is more difficult for the body to produce it. However, 80% of our vitamin D intake comes from sun exposure.

In Europe, from October to April, the body struggles to get enough vitamin D due to the significant decrease in sunlight. Even in summer, we don't manage to accumulate enough vitamin D because of the clothes and sunscreens we have to wear to avoid skin damage.

This vitamin contributes to the normal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, particularly for the maintenance of bones and muscles. It also helps reduce the risk of falls associated with posture or muscle weakness (significant effect from 15µg per dose and 20µg from all sources combined).

Finally, Solage's vitamin D3 can boast high bioavailability thanks to an emulsion based on MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) coconut oil. Standard preparations of soluble vitamins are in other types of oils and are thus 2 to 3 times less bioavailable than Solage.
